Spring Wishlist

Being a girl, stereotypically, I have a vast variety of different clothes. My closet is overflowing with too many clothes and not enough hangers. From patterned sweaters to tank tops to long sleeved plain colored shirts to jean vests- my closet is a diverse, cluttered thing. Of course, being a stereotypical girl, I feel that I have nothing to wear. You know what I mean ladies. You’ve worn everything that you own at least twice and you need something new for a new occasion. Yes a patterned romper is perfect for a night out with the girls, but you’ve already worn it twice and your favorite stores are already stocked up with new clothing. Those big comfy sweaters and those old shorts that are too small from last summer no longer work. The old clothes aren’t acceptable and you need something new to wow the crowd. You feel that it’s a necessity, plus there are probably spring sales around the corner. Your wallet gets emptier and your closet gets bigger, but let’s face it, we can’t resist. A new season calls for a new you and new outfits to match. Ladies, you are not alone. We all feel the same way and we all must inevitably shop until we drop. We’ve all got our eye on a specific spring newcomer and here are a few of the items on my spring wish list.

The T-shirt dress:

It’s extremely simple and casual. It’s perfect for every occasion and whatever color the t-shirt dress is, it can be paired with jewelry or a sweater or a cardigan. If you want edge, it can be paired with black mesh tights and a leather jacket. If you want to go to the beach, it can be paired with a jean jacket and sandals. It can be paired with anything and be the perfect outfit for a sunny day out. I prefer a striped or white one.

A V-neck Jumpsuit:

It’s cute and sexy without even trying to be or needing too much to be added to it. There is something so daring about a plunging neckline that borders between elegant and scandalous. Being a fan of dark clothing, I would probably get one in black.

V-neck Striped Shirt:

I love this shirt because it’s loose and breezy. It gives you room to breathe, but is still daring with it’s plunging neckline and fashionable. You can rock it with any colored pants, jeans, or leather pants. It can be work wear, cocktail night wear, or a day out in the city. It’s perfect for anything and comfortable. It’s perfect for those sometimes chilly, breezy Spring days, but also not hot enough to bake you when the sun is beating down on your back.

Black Turtleneck Crop Top:

I’ve wanted this shirt forever. I know, it’s simple and easily bought, but for some reason I haven’t had the chance to cross it off my bucket list yet. It’s cute, simple, and goes with anything. Whether it’s a pair of high waisted jeans, under jean overalls, or with cute black pants for a night out, it’s a must to my wardrobe.

Orange Wide-legged Pants:

Wide legged pants are very in this season and go with just about any shirt. They give an outfit a classy, mature feel and I want them specifically in orange because I feel no other color will stand out as much on me. Yellow is too bright, blue is too typical, and black is too dark for a Spring color. I would pair it with a black v-necked shirt so that the orange would stand out and speak for itself.

Steve Madden Eleanorr Suede Lace-Up Flats:

These flats are a MUST for me. I’ve desired them since winter and it’s finally warm enough to wear them. The tie-up lace makes ordinary flats suddenly much more interesting and edgy. They’re classy, stylish, and say a lot without being too much. I love suede flats/boots, so these are perfect for me.

High-Waisted Jean Skirt:

This is the last piece on my list and one that I use to own, but lost among my cluttered clothes given away to Goodwill. What I love about this skirt is that it can be bought anywhere- from a high end store like Top Shop or $5 at your local Salvation Army. This skirt can be found anywhere and it's vintage quality is what gives the skirt a story.
